北海道洞爺湖サミット（７～９日）で各国メディアの取材拠点となる国際メディアセンター（ＩＭＣ）の開所式が５日、後志管内留寿都村であり、政府関係者ら約６０人が出席し、テープカットした。

　ＩＭＣは報道陣が利用するプレスセンター（８８００平方メートル）と各国首脳の会見場（２２００平方メートル）の２棟あり、総工費は約３０億円。地球環境問題が主要テーマのサミットであることから、床下に貯蔵した雪による冷房施設や段ボール製のダクトなど省エネ、リサイクルに配慮。また、海外メディアに日本の環境技術をアピールしようと、省エネ製品などを紹介する「環境ショーケース」もある。

This was a great experience! It was amazing for both the kids and parents to watch!
By now your child is at an age where he or she (girls are kids too LOL!) can owse the internet on their own time with no parental supervision. Giving my kids (who are gifted) their own responibility with the family credit card they made this selection. As proud superior beings we deem life growing experiment excellent training programs for future prison guards.
My Daughter loves the butterfly garden. I did find it cheaper at wal mart I guess its my fault for not shopping around. We sent the coupon in for the caterpillars and in about a week and a half we had them. The directions were easy to follow and hopefully in a few days we see the emerge as beautiful butterfly's.
These butterflies are neat both my kids (11 and 5) have enjoyed watching the caterpillars grow. My biggest problem is I dont recall seeing that you have to order the caterpillars separately and you have to pay another 6 dollars. My daughter was very disappointed when the caterpillars were not with the pavillion. Not alot of fun for them but very educational and neat to watch.
When reading reviews before I bought this, none of them said that you had to include a check for $3 with the enclosed "coupon" to mail away for the caterpillars. It's not that I think that $3 is much to spend, or that it's an unfair price for shipping live caterpillars, but it's just the principle of it that I don't like. I thought that once we bought it then we were done spending. Why call it a coupon if it's really just an order form? Also, the butterfly habitat seems quite a bit smaller than I thought it was in the pictures on the box. They must have used some awfully small children in those pictures. We have yet to receive our caterpillars, since we just put the order form out in the mail today, and I'm sure that once we get them we'll have a good time with this product. Assuming that all goes well, that they don't arrive D.O.A., etc., I'm sure this will be a fantastic learning experience for my 4.5 year old daughter who loves insects. My 6 year old daughter saw the 3D chalk advertises on tv and begged me for it. I was definitely skeptical that it would work like they showed on tv-especially since it was always shown on very dark black pavement. I bought if for her though and OH-WOW was I surprised at how great this stuff works. The colors are ight and vi ant evenon our light grey pavement and with the glasses pops out with 3 Dimensional Excitement!! Best summer toy for the money-plan on buying a few more as gifts. Important though-set aside the glasses-w/o them its just chalk, so you want to keep them where you can find them :
I liked the 3D sidewalk chalk. My only "concern" was that the glasses give off the effect rather than the chalk being special. I don't work for Crayola but it seemed that the chalk was the regular stuff that they sell and the glasses in conjunction with drawing "properly" using thick lines and contrasting colors did the work. My daughter and I also got the same effect using the new Crayola Color Surge markers and paper (which are also worthy of buying) with the glasses which made me question whether the chalk was special.
Wow..I was amazed at this product. I've seen many commercials on TV and thought this would be a gimmick...and that the 3D effects would be uneffective. However, boy was I surprised! It works like it says it does...and my kids LOVED it. When you wear the INCLUDED 3D glasses...everything really works as described. I love it! The kids love it! This is probably the coolest toy all year so far...I'm picking up a few more packs on Amazon as I right this review. Overall this product is just what everyone says it is...AWESOME. We got this product today when we saw it in the store. I was afraid it would be a disappointment and just cause frustration. But once we started using it we realized what a GREAT product it was! The colors really do jump out at you and make you want to touch them and put your hands through them. We used this with a 5 year old boy and a 3 year old girl. It was perfect for sharing because there was plenty of chalk to go around and they would only use the glasses to see their artwork. After a while the 3 year old really got into it and just kept staring at her work with the glasses on saying "Wow" over and over! Here is a hint for when you first start using it, try to make thick lines or circles colored in with a different color outline. If you just have lines it will look good, but not great. When you have thicker lines or shapes with different colors is when it really POPS!

My grandkids ages 4yrs and 18 mos love this! Pros: easy to assemble, easy to turn over and empty, can fill with warm tap water from inside..only takes a couple of buckets, lots of fun for a great price Cons: the 18mo old insists on climbing in it and I let her but have to very closely supervise, hopefully when she is a little older and no longer fits she will be as happy as her sister with playing as it was designed. I would much prefer this to a "kiddie" wading pool as it is much easier to fill and empty. I found this when I was actually doing a search for a sand table but I think the kids will enjoy this much more and it certainly isn't as messy as sand. Overall I am extrememly pleased with this product.
I was very impressed with this water table. I use it for various children of different ages. My children are 2 and 3 years old. I also babysit children that are up to 6 years old. They all enjoy it. It is hard to find toys that suit a variety of ages but this one does a wonderful job.
My son is 13 months old and has a lot of fun splashing around in this toy. He is a little young to use some of its functionality; he can't reach the top of the water tower, but likes to watch me pour water and see the wheel spin. It's a good toy to keep them occupied outside during the summer months.
Its a nice table although the "toys" that comes with the table like the boats, are very cheaply made and won't last long.
I recently purchased this little table for my 14 month old son and he LOVES it! He immediately ran over to it at the store(TRU)and showed a tremendous amount of interest in it without any water in it. After looking at other (more expensive) water tables I decided to purchase this one. It has been a HUGE hit ever since. I live in FL so we ing it out in the late evening (too hot to play during the day) and play up until bath time. All the kids on the block (6 kids ranging from 12mo - 7yrs) can't wait till we come out in the evening and set it up. They all love it!!!! Another great thing that I liked about it is that it doesn't take a lot of water to fill it up, so when I dump it out I don't feel like I am wasting a lot of water considering how much water is costing these days! I too, like many of the other reviewers wish it had a stopper to drain it out, but trust me when I say that it is not a big deal to lift up and dump. And as far as the water wheel, it would have been nice for it to clip on some how...I spend more time picking it up off the ground than my son does playing with it. Overall, if you have a chance to pick this up...GO FOR IT! It is a great toy and is sure to get a lot of use! This toy is LOUD but fun to look at - when it actually runs right. As said before in another review, the balls pop everywhere all over the room. My 9 month old has more fun crawling around with a ball in each hand than actually putting the balls back in the shoot. In fact, he likes playong with the balls independently so much, I ordered a second set because they end up underneath the couch, his crib, etc. My mom even found 2 at her house! I've decided to put the ball machine away for a few more months until he gets a little older.
This toy is something that we bought after my children (who were 4, 2, and under 1 at the time) played with it at a friends house. At first, it was tons of fun to watch them chasing around the balls. It became a nightmare when my children began to stick other toys down into it. Then my middle daughter actually got her arm stuck in the opening. I had to take the entire thing apart to get her arm unstuck. I also had to take it apart everytime another toy found its home in the toy. (No, holding it upside down and banging did not work - these toys were stuck). I will never again have this toy in my home and if it is somewhere that we visit my children are not allowed to play with it.
When my other got this toy for my son's first birthday, I secretly thought to myself "well, he's probably never going to play with that." Boy was I wrong! Almost 6 months later it is still his favorite toy. And I have to admit- I think it's kinda fun too. The batteries last a long time, and the balls are extremely lightweight so they bob you when they come out, it's just funny- not at all painful or scary for the little one. My only issue with this toy is that I am constantly fishing things out of it. My son apparently thinks that if the balls are so much fun, duplo blocks, cars, and nutrigrain bars will be a blast. (Don't worry- the only thing shooting out of this toy is the balls it came with.) It's kinda hard to clean sticky things out of it- you have to consider that with toddlers- so as long as you keep the Nutrigrain bars put away while Junior's playing with this toy, you'll be good. :
I bought this for my son and he loved trying to catch the balls coming out. Too bad the toy did not last and the balls stopped popping out. We returned it and got a new one and the same thing happened. The motor does not seem to work well and I would not recommend it as neither toy lasted more than two weeks.
I read a whole bunch of reviews before I bought this toy and everyone was saying how much their kids adored it and the laughter that it ought so I was very excited to get it for my 10 month old son. He does enjoy playing with it but he doesn't get the concept of putting the balls back into it yet. He likes to turn it on but after he grabs a ball and watches it for a minute he doesn't know what else to do. This toy keeps my 4-month old's attention for a while - she really seems to like the flashing lights as the music plays. I only wish there was a volume button on it - it seems a bit loud to me (and if it seems loud to me wouldn't it seem loud to the baby as well?), and I wish it weren't quite so heavy. It will be a long time before my baby will be able to turn the cube or pick it up, for now it just sits on the floor between her legs and she's able to hit the buttons that are facing up/out.
Great toy! All of my 4 grandchildren have enjoyed it. They loved the lights and the music. Each side is different instrument and then one is the whole orchestra playing the same melody. Mozart's music is a wonderful change from the usual annoying tunes on most children's toys.
This product is interesting and fun for my 7 months old twins. I'm sure they will grow to understand it and love it even further in the future. The only drawback I see is that the quality of sound is not great, and the instruments sound more like simulated electronic sound than the real sound of the instrument.
The fabulous Munhkin Mozart Magic Cube was given to our friend's daughter when she was an infant. From a very early age, we watched in amazement as she responded to the sounds of the music, obviously recognizing changes. We could see the pleasure on her face. As time went on, she played with the toy herself and was constantly drawn to it. There was always a limited assortment of toys for her to explore on the living room floor. She loved to play with some more than others. However, she was always constantly drawn back to this -- the sounds of the music from different instruments was a great source of fascination. As she gets older, the way that she handles Munchkin Mozart Magic Cube becomes more selective and sophisticated. This is one of the best toys we have ever seen to develop delight in music! She is beginning to talk now, and I feel certain that her first words will be, "GET ME A HARPSICHORD NOW!!" Love it!
This is a great toy in concept, especially for classical music lovers; however, the toys that arrived in our house were all damaged before they arrived. The outer layer is a very fine strip of plastic and the first two or three (I don't remember how many) that arrived were cracked and ready to splinter. Thin, sharp pieces of plastic or plastic splinters not good for babies, right? Amazon was quick to ship replacements, even without getting the original back, but I ended up returned at least two, maybe three. Think it was three. Sent two in one box together. I thought this would encourage my 10 month old to pull up to a standing position. In the table position, when a baby pulls on the tabletop, it falls over onto the baby. Even when in a standing position and the baby leans on the table,it tipps over. From an educational standpoint, I think the musical table is good. For reasons of safety,when in the table position, your baby should be able to stand independently.
This toy was recommended to me by a friend who also has a daughter where they speak both English and Spanish in the home. This toy is very educational. Not only does it have the alphabet and numbers in English and Spanish but also other words like up and down and open and close. It also has a musical setting which plays songs which I find that part to be just ok. I would like it better if maybe it had some Spanish style songs as well. My daughter isn't walking yet so we just let her play with it on the floor right now but she will still be able to use it once she is standing on her own. The legs come off and on very easily. My daughter seems to like it alot and it keeps her attention. Overall I would definitely recommend this to others!
I'm a new mother to a beautiful baby girl. She loves this toy. She stands there and plays with all the little toys on the table. Plus you can switch the language to Spanish! It's great for learning over all.
our baby loves this musical table. it was a hand-me-down from a friend's child. it was gently used but in great condition and it cleaned up nicely--it looks new. now our baby is really enjoying herself exploring the sounds and lights. i would recommend this musical table to others looking for something similar and we are happy it has come to us.
This toy is great - we bought it for our 5 month old after she loved it at a friend's house. You can use it on the ground without the legs or add the legs to help her learn to pull up. Legs are very easy to snap in and out. Easy to clean and seems very durable.
